This role can be contract or perm and is based in AberdeenWhat you'll be doingKey role to ensure the preparation of Construction Workpacks and associated certification for integrity scopes and CCHPs for modification scopes are executed in alignment with the company's engineering procedures and core values. You will be accountable for liaising with discipline engineers and designers to obtain the relevant design deliverables to compile the workpacks to a high standard ensuring technical quality is maintained within the manhour budget and delivery schedule. You shall report directly to the Lead Engineer or Lead Designer, based on scope categorisation, however your daily tasks may be under the supervision principal engineers and designers. This role is critical to our success as we evolve into one of the leading contractors in the market.You will be responsible for:Key Fundamentals: People, Process and SystemsIn line with our internal processes and “how to guides” you will:
  • Work in accordance with regulatory and the company's HSE & quality requirements.
  • Maintain required technical quality of work, ensuring adherence to the engineering procedures
  • Maintain effective communication with project management and inter discipline teams.
  • Undertake agreed training and development in order to provide a framework of knowledge and skills required to perform effectively in the team/department/business unit demonstrating ongoing competency required in role.
  • Participate in annual and regular performance appraisal with relevant supervisor and/or manager, identifying and agreeing objectives and targets in relation to personal development.

  • Location - Client Office, Remote and supporting our teams in other Aberdeen facilities
Workpack Engineer (day to day focus of team)
  • Preparation of Construction Workpacks and associated certification within budget and schedule.
  • Interface with construction and engineering disciplines to obtain design deliverables
  • Ensure that assigned work is completed within budget and schedule
  • Maintain project plan and provide progress updates for assigned scopes
  • Maintain project scope/schedule change(s) in accordance with project change control process (as required in conjunction with Lead or Principal Engineer/Designer)
Desired Qualities / Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the Oil & Gas industry with experience / familiarity of GOC/ Certification, QA / QC, Piping and Structural standards, Planning and Scheduling, Construction and Fabrication activities.
  • Prior exposure to direction and organisation of discipline teams within repair order, minor modification and project environments
  • Prior exposure to commercial, contractual, and administrative aspects of Engineering.
  • Prior exposure to aspects of multi-discipline design activities and deliverables
  • Competent in quality control and engineering procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail, diligence, and self-discipline
  • Delivery focused and committed to achievement of project/company goals
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly motivated and self-reliant with excellent teamworking skills
