- Working with key brands across spaces such as Food, Cosmetics and Pharma, the ArcXP Specialist Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in the delivery of industry leading websites through our newest state of the art digital experience platform, ArcXP.
- Responsible for driving the configuration and delivery of high-quality products that both meet our customer needs and drive business growth. Guiding and developing these processes through the planning, build and testing phases of delivery.
- Rolling out new features and updates across 20+ websites within a managed, efficient process across pre-production and production environments. This will involve configuration on a per-website basis as well as packaging and rolling out these releases through a GIT release process.
- To establish, lead and improve the effectiveness of the change control process -maintaining roles and responsibilities for the development, configuration, and design teams.
- Review and analyse the performance of the DXP and deploy improvement plans to reduce the need for no-value-add change.
- Working with project management, editorial and commercial teams to ensure standardisation of change across the organisation while maintaining alignment to the groups processes and procedures.
- Working with project management, editorial and commercial teams to define a pipeline of product features and create user stories based on the short- and long-term Product Roadmaps.
- Act as the primary escalation point for business-critical issues. Ensure that issues affecting the DXP are reported and resolved in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot front end performance issues related to configuration and code using JavaScript, CSS, HTML.
- Technical Aptitude - Experience of working with backend service infrastructure and API's or in a platform team/s. A strong understanding of the technical architecture of complex CMS’, DXP’s and web technologies. Working knowledge of the React JavaScript framework, XML and JSON.
- Communication/Organization – The candidate must have the ability to communicate clearly and directly with the business, from hosting development meetings and planning future change with external vendors to communicating ongoing progress with the ArcXP platform internally.
- Stakeholder management - This is a hands-on role and which will closely work with stakeholders and senior management throughout the DXP’s product lifecycle from idea to delivery of change. The candidate must identify and manage anticipated resistance to change, and work with the business to ensure their engagement and adoption of new features or system changes.
- Analytical – The candidate should monitor and analyse changes in the organisations environment (standards, customer etc) which may impact the DXP and develop solutions to improve processes in accordance with such requirements. This should include the continuous verification of the consistency, performance and compliance of the DXP and reporting through a suite of key performance indicators
