Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Foundation Learning Lecturer to deliver high-quality education across Maths, English, ESOL, and Digital Skills. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting learners aged 16+ and adults to achieve their goals and progress into employment, further education, or apprenticeships.Key Responsibilities:Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across Foundation Learning subjectsDevelop and review individual learning plans, tracking learner progressSupport learners with additional needs, guiding Learning Development Assistants as neededPromote digital skills, safeguarding, equality, and learner wellbeing throughout deliveryContribute to curriculum development and continuous quality improvementParticipate in team meetings, standardisation events, and learner recruitment activitiesEnsure compliance with all quality assurance and administrative requirementsMaintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environmentRequirements:Level 5 Teaching Qualification (DTLLS, CertEd, CELTA, or equivalent)Level 3 qualification in subject specialismGCSEs (or equivalent) at grade A-C in English and MathsSubstantial experience teaching post-16 and/or adult learnersExperience supporting learners with additional needs or challenging behaviourStrong understanding of safeguarding, assessment strategies, and curriculum designAbility to travel across County Durham and work flexibly, including evenings and weekendsDesirable:Assessor and/or Verifier qualifications (A1, TAQA, etc.)Experience with Apprenticeship or Employability programmesProficiency with VLEs and digital learning platformsWhy Work with Sanctuary Personnel?Sanctuary Personnel is a trusted provider of public sector staffing solutions, connecting professionals to rewarding roles in local government, healthcare, and housing.
