Week 1 - Monday Tuesday Friday Saturday 6am -6pm half hour unpaid lunch and Sunday 6am – 12pm
Week 2 - Wednesday and Thursday 6am to 6pm half hour unpaid lunchKey Responsibilities:
- Assemble and trim composite and metallic aircraft components
- Drill, ream, countersink, and fettle using approved tools and techniques
- Set components in calibrated jigs and carry out accurate fitting operations
- Perform deburring and under-head radius finishing
- Use nut runners and pre-set torque guns for fastener installation
- Work to technical drawings and specifications
- Self-certify work in line with quality requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production team
- Operate in line with site health and safety procedures
- Apprenticeship or equivalent recognised qualification (desirable)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in aircraft assembly using technical drawings and build processes
- Proven background working with composite materials in a production environment
- Strong hand-fitting skills and precision in trimming composite/metallic components
- Understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
- Confident using manual and power tools
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
- Familiarity with SAP or similar manufacturing IT systems
- Willingness to learn and support production training needs
- Experience operating CNC equipment (desirable)
