So, join our team and feel like you’re part of something bigger.About your teamCASS & Oversight function is responsible for compliance with CASS rules across the organisation. The team records breaches in conjunction with Compliance to reduce the risk of loss of client money and assets due to negligence, inadequate reconciliation procedures or administration errors. CASS Specialist Team also submits Client Money & Asset Returns to the regulator on monthly basis. The function also facilitates and manages internal and external audits related to CASS. The team ensures that CASS Governance and oversight framework which consists of CASS processes and policies has been embedded in the firm and there is an effective operational control environment with a standardised CASS approach to monitor, manage and control client money and assets at all times.About your roleThis role is primarily responsible for working on the CASS Compliance ensuring processes and activities remain in line with the regulatory requirements at all times.The objective of this role is to support teams within GPS, ISS and Corporate Enablers across geographies by providing the best possible service to our customers by responding appropriately to the changing regulatory framework and business priorities. This role will help in building the awareness of CASS requirements regarding the protection of client monies and assets through training, assisting with process improvements within the team and other operational teams. This role will support internal review/s and audits by Internal Audit, Compliance Monitoring, Risk team etc. Another key responsibility is the design and delivery of meaningful management information for internal and external stakeholders, the most critical being regulatory reporting.Key Responsibilities
  • Manage submissions of Client Money and Asset Returns to the regulator.
  • Work on the CASS 8 requirments across different legal entities.
  • Work with internal to support and drive the culture of protection of client money and assets in full compliance with CASS.
  • Maintenance of FCA CASS regulatory docs (e.g. CASS Policies, CASS Governance Documents). This includes regular review, updating and obtaining sign off from stakeholders.
  • Work with teams to identify risks and put appropriate controls in place. Use such controls to identify improvement opportunities across departments. Monitor and report on departmental key risk measures.
  • Support and manage all internal and external compliance and audit reviews, with particular reference to all audits pertaining to CASS.
  • Work very closely with the operational teams to assist in the reduction of client money breaches, which includes regular reviews of the breaches to address control failures.
  • Strong focus on all elements of regulatory reporting including the regulatory CASS Oversight Forum, Board Reporting.
About you
  • With 3+ years of experience in Operations and Governance
  • B. Com or an equivalent bachelor’s degree from a recognised university, preferably in finance and accounting.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel (including Macros), PowerPoint and Power BI.
  • A good understanding of the FCA Client Money regulations is an added advantage.
  • Analytical skills with an attention to detail
  • Self-starter – demonstrating good use of initiative. Able to work both individually or collaborate as a part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Good presentation skills are a must.
  • A resilient approach to customer centricity, regulatory governance and risk management.
  • Ability to remain highly motivated, focused towards the key measurements and adaptable.
  • A flexible approach with an ability to work with other workgroups in the organisation split across different geography and cultures.
  • Ability to do multi task effectively, prioritise and organise effectively to ensure deadlines are met.
