
Technical Sales Engineer - Formwork & Falsework

- Hybrid field sales role, predominantly (80%) selling the hire of formwork and falsework and temporary works equipment (20% sale)
- Focus of the role will be on civil engineering/ civil infrastructure projects such as: rail, highways, bridges, sewage treatments plants and other concrete rebar projects
- Predominantly a new business development position, prospecting within a designated territory
- Working from home or the office, conducting site visits as required (will involve conducting virtual meetings via teams)
- Technical role which will involve some project management
- New business orientated
- Typical projects values from £10,000-£50,000 but can be £1m+
- Meeting with customers and presenting solutions
- Typically targeting formwork reinforced concrete sub contractors, and occasionally main contractors on larger projects
- Initially you will have a modest revenue target of circa £200,000 year 1, and £600,00 year 2, but once established approx. £1m
- Ideally will be someone from the construction industry with good technical understanding and construction site experience
- Open to civil engineering hire sales experience
- Will consider a site engineer / technical engineer looking for first hybrid field sales role
- Specific formwork and falsework, groundworks, temporary works, shoring, trenching, piling, propping knowledge is not essential
- Engineering degree would be advantageous
- Technically capable with the ability to read technical drawings
- Integrity with good interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Open minded and willing to learn
