- Developing and implementing a robust compliance governance framework, including policies, procedures, and standards
- Monitoring changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards, and conducting assessments to identify potential compliance gaps (horizon scanning)
- Designing and delivering engaging compliance training programs for employees and communicating updates to all relevant stakeholders
- Assisting with the preparation of crucial compliance reporting materials for senior management, the board, and various committees
- Responding to compliance inquiries from both internal colleagues and external partners, building strong relationships
- Maintaining meticulous records of all compliance and governance activities to ensure transparency and accountability
- Knowledgeable with an in-depth understanding of relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and specifically the FCA SMCR and Conduct Regime
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of clearly conveying complex compliance requirements to all levels of the organisation
- Highly analytical and a skilled problem-solver, adept at identifying risks, gaps, and developing effective, practical solutions
- Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and maintain accurate records
