Field Service Engineer (Mechanical / Plant)Haddenham£35,000 to £45,000 DOE + Overtime (OTE Approx £5,000-£6,000) + 24 Days Holidays + Bank Holidays + Pension (matched at 4%) + Product Training + Call Out (1/4 weeks – additional stand by and callout payments)Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30Field Service Engineer required for a growing supplier of lifting equipment and cranes. You will be joining a well-established company who have won awards recognising their commitment to great service, growth and technology.Candidates can be from any plant, cranes, agricultural, mining, construction, materials handling / forklifts, HGV or similar background. Candidates with experience working on lighter vehicles and ex-forces will also be suitable. You will need a working understanding of hydraulics, engines, motors and electrical diagrams.The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, service and repair of mini cranes and lifting equipment at customer sites. Up to 80% of the work is in the Southeast, with travel further required from time to time.You can expect to spend approximately 3-6 months at the company’s workshop in Haddenham for initial training, and long term you will support the workshop team with servicing equipment and pre-rental inspections when not on site.The Field Service Engineer Role:· Carry out planned field service, maintenance and repair activities on mini cranes and other plant equipment· Reactive breakdown· Call out rota (1 in 4)The Candidate:· Mechanical, hydraulics and basic electrical skills· From any Vehicle/Plant/HGV/ex-forces backgrounds or similar
