Lecturer & Assessor in Early Years (Part-Time) - PermanentFE College - Hayes, West London£16,228 - £22,630 a year - Part-time, PermanentJob OverviewWe are seeking a qualified Lecturer & Assessor in Early Years to join our established FE College in Hayes, West London. This permanent part-time role offers 18 hours per week across 52 weeks per year, providing stability and work-life balance for an experienced early years professional.You will teach and assess Early Years qualifications from Level 2 to Level 3, working with both classroom students and workplace apprentices. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in developing the next generation of early years professionals.Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Delivery:
  • Deliver Early Years qualifications from Level 2 to Level 3
  • Teach NCFE Level 1 Diploma in Caring for Children
  • Deliver NCFE Level 2 Technical Diploma for Early Years Practitioners
  • Support T Level Early Years Educator programmes (including Assisted Teaching Pathway)
  • Deliver NCFE Level 2 and Level 3 Apprenticeships for Early Years and Teaching Assistants
Assessment & Support:
  • Assess Work-Based Learning (WBL) and Apprenticeship learners
  • Determine occupational competency through workplace assessment
  • Monitor and support learner progress across study programmes
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to students and apprentices
RequirementsEssential Qualifications:
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Teaching Assistant
  • Assessor qualification: Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3 years recent professional experience in Early Years education and/or care
  • Experience in teaching and assessing within the Early Years sector
Preferred:
  • Degree in relevant subject (Early Years, Education, Child Development)
  • Teaching qualification at Level 5 (support provided if not already held)
