Salary: £32,322 - £41,669 per annumSanctuary Personnel is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide a comprehensive occupational therapy service for our client, encompassing the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of person-centred care programmes within a multidisciplinary team setting.Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments to identify service user needs and developing tailored treatment plans.
- Promoting choice and advocating for service user preferences, while facilitating open communication for feedback and concerns.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals, volunteers, and social care providers to ensure holistic care delivery.
- Managing and maintaining equipment resources efficiently within allocated budgets.
- Upholding accurate record-keeping practices in compliance with professional and charity standards, prioritising data security.
- Sharing expertise through formal and informal teaching sessions to enhance team knowledge.
- Ensuring a safe working environment, maintaining confidentiality, and assisting with additional tasks as needed.
- While the role does not involve direct line management, the incumbent will mentor and supervise junior team members.
- Effective collaboration with the Therapy, Nursing, and broader Multidisciplinary Teams is crucial.
- Supporting and guiding volunteers, assistants, and students within the team is also expected.
- Diploma/BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy.
- Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council.
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
- Proficiency in conducting OT assessments and interventions, applying clinical reasoning.
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks effectively, supporting others in their roles.
- Confidence in assessing and managing occupational performance-related risks.
- Competent IT skills and familiarity with relevant legislation impacting practice.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, fostering effective relationships.
- Desirable experience in relevant settings, including practice placements.
- While not responsible for budget management, the role involves prudent expenditure control.
- Accountability for transparent communication with service users and their representatives.
- Clinical responsibility for managing specific caseloads and ensuring evidence-based practice.
- Encouraged to initiate innovative projects addressing occupational risk factors and enhancing quality of life.
