Whilst each hotel is individual, every property fulfils the company values of family, individuality, community and care, ensuring a hand picked experience for every guest and employee.We are currently recruiting for a Front of House Porter on a casual hours basis at Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa, part of Hand Picked Hotels.Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa is located in Nantwich the hotel is one of the most renowned country house hotels in Cheshire. Expertly blending old-world charm with modern amenities. This stunning award-winning property is proud to boast 4 AA Red Star status and several notable accolades for its dining.About the RoleAbout the role:
  • The role of our Porters is to welcome and engage with our guests through every step of their stay, delivering an exceptional guest experience, by putting the guest at the heart of everything you do.
  • Porters will demonstrate their knowledge of the hotel & local area to provide thoughtful recommendations to tailor to the guests stay and enhance their experience, helping to create magical memories.
  • We offer a valet parking service, therefore you will need to be a competent driver with a full clean driving licence.
  • Build and maintain relationships within the team and other departments to ensure communication is clear and be aware of all the days activities.
  • Most of all we will want you to be inspired, have fun and enjoy being part of our Hand Picked Team.
About you:
  • To be considered for this role you will have knowledge and experience of working in a luxury four or five star hotel or a customer facing role.
  • Be passionate about going above and beyond for our guests and recognise and skilfully act on opportunities to make the guest experience memorable through offering or suggesting appropriate hotel products and facilities.
  • Local knowledge of the surrounding area and places of interest would be advantageous.
  • Be able to demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence, enabling you to be able to anticipate our guests needs ensuring they receive a Hand Picked experience.
  • Through your enthusiasm and willing approach, you will demonstrate how you find solutions to any scenario.
  • Act calmly and professionally, maintaining an outwardly positive attitude even when under pressure.

  • This role is being offered on a casual hours basis, hours will vary depending on business needs. working hours will vary between 8am to 8pm. We are looking for someone to be flexible on days that they can work.
