- Be a trusted advisor to the Chief People Officer and their team, providing high-quality counsel and support to ensure communications is central to decision-making and the delivery of the function's critical tasks.
- Build specialist, expert knowledge of the function's strategic priorities and key deliverables as they relate to organisational critical tasks and Group 'Origins' strategy.
- Lead the development and implementation of integrated communication strategies and plans for key projects relating to group functions' critical tasks, drawing on support from the broader internal and external communications team as appropriate, to help drive desired culture change across the business.
- Be responsible for fostering effective collaboration and coordination between the communications team and each function to ensure alignment of priorities, enable long term communication planning and early identification of risks and opportunities.
- Devise and implement effective ways-of-working and regular flow of information and knowledge sharing between corporate functions and the broader global communications team.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive communications plans in support of People initiatives across the employee lifecycle (BAU activities) eg performance management, reward, talent, learning & development etc - aligned with the Group-wide employee comms strategy.
- Identify and deliver opportunities to showcase the People Function to build awareness and understanding of the Function's work and support in creating an open, inclusive culture and motivated colleagues.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of People communication strategies and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
- Provide guidance and support to People team members on best practices for internal communication and employee engagement.
- Work closely with People Business Partners and global employee comms team to support the smooth, respectful and effective implementation of any organisational change activities.
- Work with senior leaders, the SVP Global Communications and VP Employee Communications to anticipate any employee issues and provide prompt and appropriate comms guidance and support as required in the event of any sensitive people, employee relations or reputational issues.
- Contribute to the broader business by working with others in such a way that it optimises the overall business results, rather than just the Communications team's results.
- Support in driving cultural change initiatives by promoting the company's leadership principles and values and fostering a positive work environment.
- Bachelors or equivalent level qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Experience working with senior leaders within a Global corporate environment
- Strong understanding of employee engagement and communications principles and practices, particularly within an HR context.
- Proven ability to drive cultural change and enhance employee engagement through effective communication strategies.
- Knowledge of strategic communications best practice, including tools, processes and platforms to enhance delivery
- Working in a fast-paced, issues-rich environment within a large multinational organisation
- Working in an organisation with diverse stakeholders and an understanding of how stakeholder interests influence communication planning and delivery
- Confidently advise senior leaders on a wide array of proactive and reactive communication priorities
- Devise and implement key strategic communications projects linked to functional strategy
- Design and deliver high quality, impactful communication deliverables across multiple audiences and platforms
- Translate complex topics and issues into succinct and impactful narratives and messages
- Employ strong organisational ability and logistical excellence across different markets and cultures, and in relation to a variety of activities.
- Demonstrate exceptionally strong writing skills.
- Communicate detailed, complex and sensitive issues effectively both in writing and in person.
- Work self-sufficiently with great attention to detail
