
Inverter System Engineer – Requirements

- Define system architecture for inverter platforms, including control strategies, hardware/software boundaries, and interface definitions.
- Develop block diagrams, functional models, and performance specifications aligned with vehicle and powertrain requirements.
- Support architecture refinement across SiC-based, multi-phase, and high-efficiency inverter topologies.
- Capture, structure, and manage system-level requirements using tools like DOORS, Polarion, or equivalent.
- Ensure traceability of inverter requirements through design, implementation, and validation phases.
- Lead stakeholder workshops for requirement elicitation and alignment across cross-functional domains.
- Collaborate with safety, software, hardware, and validation teams to define interface and compliance boundaries.
- Interface with BMS, motor control units, DC/DC converters, and vehicle-level systems to ensure robust integration.
- Contribute to design reviews, FMEA analyses, and system safety planning.
- Support the development of DVP&R plans, interface documents, and system documentation deliverables.
- Experience in power electronics system design, ideally within automotive inverter applications.
- Strong foundation in system architecture, embedded powertrain systems, and high-voltage component integration.
- Expertise in requirements engineering, including requirements decomposition, traceability, and compliance.
- Familiarity with ISO 26262, ASPICE, and automotive systems engineering frameworks.
- Understanding of inverter control algorithms (FOC, PWM, current regulation).
- Experience with modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, SysML).
- Knowledge of diagnostic protocols and safety mechanisms.
- Ability to work in agile development environments and across global teams.
