This role is based site based in the south-east of London. The day rate is £250. This position is at a well-established company on an initial 3-month contract.This contract role is inside , this position is only suitable forContract OverviewFirstly, this role is responsible for working to maintain and configure all corporate user devices. This includes hardware build, refresh or hardware and firmware upgrades enabling business operations to meet security, also, statutory and regulatory requirements to ensure services are delivered effectively.Secondly, undertake tasks required to meet Service and Operational levels and Device Performance targets that enable business operations to continue successfully
Furthermore, use market knowledge and vendor technology roadmaps to support alignment between applications and User Device capability and configuration ensuring efficient technical operation and mitigating any risk of unplanned cost whilst exploiting new and innovative technology development
Likewise, ownership for the build and implementation of User Devices required to enable secure access to and operation of applications needed to ensure successful business operations
Also, completing approved moves, adds and changes for User Devices ensuring the maintenance of a current technical environment supporting the successful delivery of business operations
Most importantly, configuring and distributing end user devices and supporting the adoption and understanding of technology to assist the development of a computer literate workforce
Responsible where necessary for completion of desk side visits to support the resolution of device incidents
The post holder should be prepared to work outside of normal hours, including attending evening meetings, and occasional weekend working
Lastly, be able to demonstrate good experience in a Device Support role preferably working within a large Local Authority or with a Service Provider providing device support services to the public sector.Apply for contract jobs in London with GTS today.
