- Identify tender opportunities via FTS, Contracts Finder and other relevant portals
- Support the EOI, RFI, SQ, RfP and ITT requirements of all UK & Ireland Baxter Healthcare Business Units.
- Manage the bid qualification (bid/ no bid) process for new opportunities (maintain Boost/SFDC databases to evidence visibility from an audit trail/opportunities)
- Delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes
- Ownership of the written proposal – both in terms of content and presentation
- Analysis of scoring mechanisms to ensure the tender has the potential to achieve the maximum score
- Co-ordinate and review / edit proposal input from a variety of key stakeholders in accordance with timescales following compliant formatting and quality standards, in conjunction with tender instruction.
- Champion document management, version control and change control best practices, ensuring document library is continually updated.
- To be the central point of contact for any queries / clarification during the tender process, including awareness of Terms & Conditions, challenging clauses, warranties, liquidity damages, retention’s, management fee’s etc. where appropriate
- Ensure all tender submissions are submitted compliantly and accurately prior to deadline.
- Arrange debrief with customers post contract award
- Communicate debrief inputs/outputs to key stakeholders, including update of pricing to relevant parties
- To impart information, share cross-divisional best practice and knowledge to achieve high operational standards
- Support processes and cross-functional working practices that improve capability and performance within the UKI & WEU Team
- Actively promote, support and drive change in a positive manner
- Actively participate in review, update and improve processes and systems (including computer systems, document archiving and storage)
- Build relationships and work closely with key stakeholders, to include internal / external customers (including NHS, HSC NI & HSE bodies, Procurement Hubs, trade associations and distribution partners), taking ownership for problem solving and resolving tender/contractual issues cross functionally.
- Educated to Degree (BA/BSc) Level
- To be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels
- Must have excellent Microsoft Office Skills, incl. Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Outlook
- Previous demonstrable experience in Tender / RFP submissions and associated Pricing (essential)
- Knowledge of NHS Procurement procedures / terminology and evaluation of tender scoring methodologies within NHS or other Public Sector organisation
- Confidence to hold and facilitate tender kick-off and review calls with multiple internal stakeholders
- Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload across multiple projects effectively
- Flexible and adaptable, works effectively under pressure and to challenging deadlines
- Methodical with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills

- Ability to proactively seek opportunities to increase value by raising standards and championing best practices
- Boost/SFDC/JDE experience desirable but not essential
- Excellent written and spoken English
- UK Requirements: Eligibility to work in the UK
- Flexibility to travel to stakeholders as occasionally required in UK & Ireland.
- Due to the nature of this role, there may be a limited requirement to undertake work outside of normal hours i.e. evenings.
- The company may expect you to undertake other reasonable tasks outside of this job description
