Applications are invited for the post of PDRA based in the new Medical Research Council Centre of Research Excellence (MRC CoRE) in Exposome Immunology, to be hosted jointly by the universities of Manchester and Oxford. The CoRE will leverage cutting edge computational approaches, novel experimental models, and experimental medicine studies to uncover how pollutants and infections interact with our genes to cause and exacerbate chronic inflammatory diseases. The role is also partially funded by the Manchester Cell Matrix Centre & Discovery Research Platform (MCMC DRP) for Cell-Matrix Biology.This role will be based in the Genome Editing Unit facility and work with researchers to develop and apply novel genetic manipulation technologies with a particular focus on in vitro immune cells and in vivo mouse genetic manipulation to support the CoRE's scientific aims. Projects will be prioritized where there is alignment between CoRE and DRP goals.The successful applicant will have a PhD and significant experience of in vivo work and immunological techniques' is essential. The candidate should also have a good scientific publication record given career stage and be self-motivated, hard-working and able to work in a team.What you will get in return:
