Start Date: ASAPAbout the Role:GSL Education are currently looking to recruit a compassionate and committed SEN Teacher for a school in Havant.As it is a specialist school in Havant, catering for boys aged 11–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. So it is a rewarding opportunity to work in a nurturing, therapeutic setting where each pupil is supported to overcome barriers to learning caused by emotional and behavioural challenges such as ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, and more.In this Teacher position, you will play a vital part in supporting students with diverse special educational needs, ensuring they receive a high-quality, tailored education that fosters their academic, emotional, and social growth.Join a school that values your contribution and supports your development while helping young people thrive both emotionally and academically.Responsibilities of the SEN Teacher Role:
  • Deliver differentiated and engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEN.
  • Implement strategies and interventions to support learning, communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals to develop and implement EHCPs and support plans.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment that promotes resilience and confidence.
Requirements for the SEN Teacher Role:
  • Hold QTS/PGCE or an equivalent UK teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, PMLD).
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting learners with additional needs.

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
