*Please note - while this is a London based opportunity, internal applicants based in our Glasgow office will also be considered*The Opportunity:As a Commercial & Pricing Analyst, you are responsible for performing essential tasks that support the pricing team's objectives and contribute to the firm's overarching purpose and strategic goals.You will collaborate closely with the Commercial & Pricing Managers and the wider commercial team, including Business Managers and those involved in matter management and client initiatives, maintaining pricing integrity, preparing reports, and supporting the implementation of pricing strategies.As a champion of well-being, you will integrate the principles of the Mindful Business Charter into yours and the wider teams' work, fostering a supportive and sustainable work environment.Key responsibilities of the role include:
  • Provide support on pricing matters, ensuring alignment with business development goals and financial soundness.
  • Work closely with lawyers, business development, and other stakeholders to create a understanding of pricing strategies.
  • Support pricing of client RFPs, analyse financial performance of recommendations.
  • Support compelling pricing proposals for new products and services, including Ashurst Advanced and Consulting offerings.
  • Conduct in-depth commercial analysis to optimise client performance and identify opportunities for improvement
This is a full-time, permanent role based in our London office with hybrid working. Internal applicants based in the Glasgow office will also be considered.More information can be found in the job description attached to the role on our careers siteAbout you:The successful candidate will have:
  • 1+ year of experience in finance or similar environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial concepts (e.g., profitability, percentage growth, inflation).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (E.g. financial modelling, VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
  • Ability to build and influence relationships with all levels of stakeholders
