We are currently recruiting an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to oversee operations within the Packing & Despatch Department for our client – a leading name in the food production industry.This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a candidate with strong organisational skills, a good understanding of warehouse procedures, and experience working with chilled goods.Key Objectives:Coordinate the efficient operation of the warehouseEnsure correct stock rotation and storage of both packed and raw productsMaintain proper storage temperatures and safe, organised warehouse layoutDespatch goods in a professional and timely manner to a high standardReceive goods and conduct material checks, reporting issues as neededComply with and administer health & safety protocols, including accident and near-miss reportingEnsure vehicle safety checks are carried out regularlySpecific Responsibilities:Maintain cleanliness in the despatch cold store, removing waste and litter weeklyKeep cold store entrances and fire exits clear at all timesLiaise with the Grading & Quality Control Supervisor to manage materialsMonitor and maintain correct storage temperatures, including blast chilling where neededEnsure all despatched goods are below 5ºC, unless authorised otherwiseKeep accurate stock records and provide updates as requiredAct as a role model, maintaining a tidy, professional appearance and conductOperate the Forklift Truck safely and carry out regular safety checks, reporting any faultsReport damage or defects in the Cold Store to the Packing ManagerPrevent storage of packaging materials in the Cold Store areaComplete all paperwork, scanning, and admin tasks thoroughly and accuratelyOrganise vehicle operatives for efficient collections of materials and packagingMaintain clean and organised packaging unitsBook all incoming items accurately through paperwork and scanning systemsOversee and complete monthly stock countsWhat We're Looking For:Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory role, ideally in food production or chilled environmentsStrong understanding of stock rotation, temperature control, and despatch proceduresConfident with forklift operation and warehouse equipmentExcellent communication and organisational skillsSolid knowledge of health and safety regulationsAble to lead by example and manage a small team effectivelyThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable company where your skills and leadership will make a real impact in a fast-paced environment.
