The VacancyAre we not actively recruiting for your specific Trade?Ocean Housing actively look to recruit qualified trade operatives who would work in various areas of Property Services responding to Responsive, Void and Planned works within our housing stock.Successful candidates will be required to work 40 hours per week covering core business hours to meet our tenants needs. Providing services on our existing stock within an emergency, planned or void scenario. In addition once probation has been passed you will be included in our out of hour's service with the additional benefit of overtime and of a 5% multi-skilled salary enhancement in addition to your basic annual salary.Working alone or as part of a team you will undertake duties of a qualified trade employee on building maintenance and improvement work and within the role of Electrician and Heating Engineer there will be the additional requirement to ensure compliance has been met.All our trade roles require the ability for the post holder to hold basic skills in various trade disciplines and ensure works provided are of the highest quality, efficient and good value for money for our customers.We offer27 days annual leave per year (plus Banks)Health Cash Plan inc Dental and OpticalOccupational Sick Pay at 3 month full pay and 3 month half pay4% employer pension contribution including Death in Service Benefit of 3x Annual Salary.Qualifications and ExperienceIt is essential that for the positions of Plumber, Mason, Carpenter and Painter you hold an NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification in the relevant trade.   • You will be highly competent within your specific trade
  • Have good customer service skills along with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and remain calm under pressure
