
Hygiene Operative

- Maintain hygiene in staff areas (desk cleaning, hoovering, reception, glass door/window cleaning, toilets, canteen, lockers)
- Perform environmental cleaning including equipment and surfaces (floor cleaning, doors, high level and low level walls, food contact and nonfood contact equipment, sink washing, emptying bins, replenishment of paper towels / soap)
- Maintain accurate cleaning records.
- Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals and conduct chemical checks.
- Follow all Health & Safety and hygiene procedures.
- Report incidents or concerns to your line manager.
- Use safety signage appropriately and prevent cross-contamination.
- Support stock checks and report low supplies.
- Previous experience within a hygiene role.
- Working at height (Scissor Lift/cherry picker)
- A passion for hygiene and working to the correct procedures and processes.
- Working in a food manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) compliance
- Good understand of hygiene chemicals.
- Keen eye for detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Good team player but ability to also work on your own.
- Ability to priorities tasks, effective planning, attention to detail and working to deadlines.
- 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
