A natural problem solver with strong attention to detail is needed for Middle Office to support improvements to our control environment, optimize products and client franchise.Key Responsibilities:Growth Leadership: Drive the Markets Middle Office growth plans, working together with Business and Product teams.Coordination: Coordinate across various business areas, ensuring alignment with Platform teams and strategic programmes.Data and Process Design: Offer expert advice on creating new processes and systems to meet professional standards and achieve desired outcomes.Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards, proposing enhancements where needed.Documentation: Maintain up-to-date process and control documentation, especially during business transformations with new products or changes.Partnership: Collaborate with Platforms, Market Risk, Finance, Risk teams to deliver both tactical and strategic outcomes.Control Framework: Continuously evolve the control framework, shifting from detective, manual to automated preventative controls.Problem Solving: Analyse specific problems and issues to determine the best technical and professional solutions.Risk Minimisation: Independently ensure risk minimization in policy, procedure, process, and system design, and create effective remedial steps.Continuous Improvement: Provide technical guidance on adopting new working methods and enabling continuous product and service improvements for customers and clients.What You'll NeedStrong demonstrable experience in Markets, with strong knowledge of traded products.Preferred background in Financial or Capital Markets Front or Middle Office -excellent knowledge of Risk, PnL and / or Capital methodologies would be an advantage.Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a focus on technical and professional solutions.
