We are seeking a part time (16 hours per week) pro-active Health Care Assistant to support the delivery of high quality patient care within our GP surgery. You will work closely with the clinical team to provide a range of clinical and administrative services, contributing to the health and wellbeing of our practice population.We are looking for someone who has experience of working in a GP Setting, Previous applicants need not applyMain duties of the jobKey Responsibilities:Clinical Duties:* Perform routine health checks (e.g., blood pressure, height, weight, BMI)* Long Term Conditions reviews ( LTCS)* Carry out ECGs*Home Visits * Administer vaccinations (e.g., flu) and injections (if trained)* Carry out wound care and dressings* Assist with chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, asthma)* Conduct NHS health checks and new patient health checks* Support minor surgery and other clinical procedures* Process specimens and ensure accurate labelling and transportation* Maintain accurate and timely clinical records*Infection controlAdministrative Duties:* Ensure consultation rooms are clean, well-stocked, and prepared for clinics* Support stock control and ordering of medical supplies* Assist with recall systems and patient reminders* Maintain patient confidentiality and follow data protection policieAbout usWe are a GP teaching Practice along with teaching students from university. We are high achieving and forward thinking.   • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification)
