Children's Home ManagerLocation: Carlisle, CumbriaStarting Salary: £40,000 per annumJob Description:We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Children's Home Manager to join our team in Carlisle. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people, ensuring they receive the best care and support in a safe, nurturing environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the children's home, ensuring the highest standards of care.
  • Manage and support a dedicated team of care staff, fostering a positive, supportive work culture.
  • Develop and implement care plans, ensuring individual needs are met.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and safeguarding procedures.
  • Maintain strong relationships with families, social workers, and other professionals.
  • Promote the well-being and emotional development of the children in your care.
  • Regularly monitor the quality of care provided and drive improvements where necessary.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Relevant management experience in a children's residential care setting.
  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or equivalent - level 3 may also be accepted).
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and young people.
