Your customer relations skills will be a vital component of our offering, ensuring that we always delight our customers whilst building long-term relationships based on trust and integrity.We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile EV Technician. The successful candidate will deliver support, diagnostics, and servicing to our customers vehicles, as well as remote assistance to other technicians within the group. This is a mobile role based in Northamptonshire, with the vehicle stored overnight at either Northampton or Kettering.We are looking for an individual with strong interpersonal skills who loves what they do and is comfortable talking with and helping our customers directly either in the field or in existing Autocentres whilst promoting both the standards of IN'n'OUT Autocentres Ltd and satisfying the needs of the customer. Likewise, all servicing and repairs are to be undertaken to the highest standard and within a timely fashion.Whilst field based you will also be expected to work as part of the Autocentres service team from time to time ensuring appropriate support is provided to the service and repair teams, thus ensuring both customer satisfaction is achieved, and multifunctional working/support is provided.Customer excellence is a priority for IN'n'OUT Autocentres Ltd all colleagues are expected to contribute to this ethos through excellent communication and high levels of presentation at all times.About the roleEV Technician ResponsibilitiesTo service all makes and models of EV to a high standard efficiently.Identify customer service and repair needs, confidently explaining pricing and processes when appropriate.Carry out accurate diagnostics, fault finding, and technical support using Autel and other diagnostic tools.Provide remote technical assistance to other technicians, using written and verbal communication.To thoroughly quality check all work undertaken and seek advice/support when required.To competently undertake any necessary fast fit repair as directed or required.To communicate regularly with feedback to the Mobile EV Master Technician Manager ensuring deadlines are met and customers are satisfied.To work in a safe and clean environment & to be always responsible for H&SWill work with field teams as required to support in complaint resolution which will include working on Non EV from time to time as dictated by the needs of the businessGeneralComfortable working in outdoor conditions, at customer or centre locations, and across various weather conditions.Operate independently and work remotely or alone with confidence and self-sufficiency.Be flexible to travel outside of normal working hours and across the UK network, depending on business needs.Undertake any other reasonable tasks as requested by the management team.must be comfortable attending trade shows to promote the business including our garage services and mobile to both retail and business customersRequirementsEssentialMinimum Level 3 Qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Light Vehicle or equivalent).Strong diagnostic experience, ideally with hands-on experience using Autel diagnostic equipment.A full UK Driving Licence (clean or with minimal endorsements).Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - for effective remote and in-person support.Ability to work independently and self-motivated, with strong organisational and time management skills in order to manage workloads efficiently.Flexible and willing to travel and work longer days when required.Must live within a commutable distance to Northampton or Kettering, where the mobile van must be stored overnight.A strong level of numeracy and sales experience is essential to the role, including pricing work accurately and upselling additional services.DesirableCurrent EV-specific qualifications (e.g. IMI Level 2/3 in EV & Hybrid Systems).Willingness to attend TESLA EV training as part of your ongoing development.Benefits:Company pensionCycle to work schemeEmployee discountFree parkingLife insuranceOn-site parkingReferral programmeAbout the companyIN'n'OUT Autocentres are experts in vehicle servicing, MOT's & repairs.
