NATIONAL MAKE-UP ARTIST NARSMISSIONThe NARS national make-up artist is a true brand ambassador who lives and breathes NARS values. Combining artistry and commerce - The national make-up artists will partner with key departments to deliver business targets through eventing (both retail & PR) and education, building lasting customer relationships and showcasing exceptional artistry.ORGANISATIONReports to: NARS Lead Artist & Pro relations managerDirect Reports: N/AJob Location: Field role, 60-80% travel with remaining time in the London office or remote location.Contract type: PermanentMAIN RESPONSIBILITIESIN STORE/ONLINE EVENTS
  • Be the ultimate ambassador for NARS by leading best in class in-store and online events that inspire our customers, pro community and retail teams including:
  • Visiting artist events on a monthly basis within targeted Space NK doors
  • Sephora Peak hour demo days across Sephora estate
  • Beaute Prestige International Resident Artist events approx every 8 weeks
  • Department/FFS events
  • Accountability for driving the success of own in-store events by working hand in hand with key events stake-holders to align on pre bookings, set up expectations and collateral needed
  • Take a proactive approach to drive event bookings with store teams
  • Monitor and track event results, providing a detailed monthly report to measure success
  • Promote events on business/personal social media channels
  • Seek out and establish new opportunities within retailers to further grow event business
  • Support FFS teams in developing & delivering customer outreach & event plans
  • Continuous maintenance of a NARS make-up kit
  • Management of own diary
NARS ARTISTRY DEVELOPMENT ACROSS UK + ROI
  • Host Artistry development days in stores based on business needs as directed by National education & events manager
  • In partnership with education, host artistry workshops to help elevate both own and retailer artist skills in application, NARS techniques and product knowledge- including face to face and virtual opportunities
  • Facilitate and assess artistry certifications to maintain consistency in NARS technical skill nationally
  • Always lead by example, be an in house influencer/ leading voice for NARS vision and values and share this with the instore teams.
  • Detail all Artistry initiatives to Education & Events manager in monthly report
CONSUMER FACING CONTENT & EVENTS
  • Adhering to local social media guidelines provided by Shiseido UKI, represent the brand both aesthetically and through tone of voice on either business or personal social media account
  • Plan and present content calendar to lead artist on a quarterly basis, to deliver a minimum of 2 social media posts per week
  • As directed by lead artist, create on brand content and assets to support Global brand team, E-retail, marketing and commercial needs
  • Create content for, & host social selling opportunities as directed by lead artist
  • Submit all customer facing content to Lead artist & Pro relations manager for approval, to ensure brand guidelines are always met
  • Act as supporting artist for PR in brand activations ,influencer & Press events
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monthly calendar to be kept up to date. Inc outlook and team rota
  • Adhere to set T&E budget
  • Submit monthly reports such as event results, expenses and travel
  • Assist the Lead artist in delivering the event strategy
  • Support Nars education team in trainings such as core and seasonal as required
  • Adhere to NARS grooming guidelines
  • Flexibility on working hours - events or activations may occur during evenings and weekends.
  • Be able to adapt and change schedules at short notice for needs of the business
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Senior shop floor experience within an artistry brand
  • Ideally a minimum of micro level (3k) social media following, and a strategy to grow this
  • Ability to travel within the UKI including overnight stays
  • Excellent public speaking skills, including ability to present and demo simultaneously
  • Excellent artistry skills, with a proven portfolio of artistry achievements
  • Proven track record of eventing success
