Business Controls Associate | S2 | SCIBCountry: United KingdomJoin our community.Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) is Santander's global division that supports some of the world's most complex and sophisticated corporate and institutional clients, offering customised services and value-added wholesale products to best meet their needs.In this interesting role within the Business Control Unit (BCU), you’ll play a critical role supporting senior management to identify, assess, manage, and mitigate non-financial risks throughout the risk lifecycle across the organisation.You’ll be help protect the business and our clients by translating the risk management framework into tangible, business led risk mitigation activity to enable business development and growth in a safe and regulatory compliant manner.If you’ve performed a similar role, this could be the perfect opportunity to develop your career.The difference you’ll make:Supporting the application and embedding of the Operational Risk Management Framework in the first line across all business and functional areasWorking with business to identify and mitigate risk in specific risk disciplines including Trading and Banking Control frameworks, Conduct and FraudEnsuring the bank remains compliant with markets regulatory requirements, SCIB regulatory programmes and change requirementsAssisting with the development and evolution of the Banking and Trading Control Frameworks by working effectively with global teams and stakeholdersEnsuring, as appropriate, harmonisation with global frameworks, process and proceduresSupporting the automation and digitalisation of the branch control environment, associated risk and control insights and reporting and governanceEnsuring branch compliance with regulatory requirements such as, conflicts of interest, Competition law and Product approval managementWhat you’ll bring:These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:Previous experience of working in fast paced, dynamic investment banking or wholesale markets environment in a related roleExcellent understanding of the regulatory landscape, especially critical topics raised by the FCA, PRA, EBADemonstrable experience of process improvement and re-engineeringProven experience of data analytics and presentation skills in wholesale banking environmentIt would also be nice for you to have:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with senior management and front office banking and markets colleaguesProven experience of running small projects while working effectively across multiple stakeholders and teamsFinancial Services related qualification such as CIMA, CISI or equivalentWhat else you need to know:This role is based at our offices in Triton Square, London located within easy walking distance from Warren Street and Euston.We want our people to thrive at work and home, and also be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop.
