What you'll do
  • Collaborating with Greggs stakeholders, developers and 3rd party systems integrators to gain full understanding of the requirements to be delivered
  • Utilising existing testing tools for full end to end test of the system
  • As part of the scrum team give test estimates for scoping, planning and execution of tests
  • Creation and execution of test scripts including running full regression tests and sharing results and risks with key stakeholders
  • Logging issues within our defect tracking tool and ensure collaboration with the team to resolution
About youYou will fit right into this role if you have:
  • Strong foundation in testing practices, including BDD with Cucumber, end-to-end automation using Playwright, CI/CD integration (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and basic performance testing with JMeter
  • Proficient in API testing (REST/SOAP) with tools like Postman and SoapUI, strong grasp of HTTP protocols, authentication (OAuth, API keys), and skilled in validating JSON/XML payloads, headers, and response times
  • Experienced with Azure Service Bus and messaging systems, including queues, topics, subscriptions, and dead-lettering; skilled in using tools like Service Bus Explorer and testing asynchronous message flows in event-driven architectures
  • Strong SQL skills for backend data validation, with an understanding of NoSQL databases like Cosmos DB and MongoDB where applicable
  • A strong team player, able to build good working relationships at all levels
  • Have proven high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Have experience of, and the ability to multi-task and work with multiple priorities calmly and at pace
  • Are self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and using own initiative
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience of analysing information and issues to identify current and potential problems
