Willowgrove is a residential service which provides short breaks for children and young people with a diagnosed learning disability, within the Southern Trust area. The staff team work intensively with young people to help them to develop their independence and communication skills. We also have regular contact with parents, school and health and social care professionals so that the work carried out in Willowgrove can also be continued at home and school and the young people can learn through greater consistency and continuity of care. The Service operates via a rota and hours of duty are determined by that rota. All Residential Project Worker staff work a range of shift patterns including evening, weekends, and public holidays. The Residential Project Worker - Night Duty/Waking night role involves taking responsibility for the welfare and safety of our young people at night time. This may include young people with complex health care needs who require cosntant monitoring during the night, due to their diagnosis. You will also assist with morning routines on school days when young people may need to be manually lifted, fed, and their personal care needs provided for, including the administration of medication and practical tasks e.g. preparation of meals, laundry, and general housekeeping.WIllowgrove offers our young people a home away from home, with opportunities to socialise with their peers in a comfortable and nurturing enviroment.
