We produce bread and bakery products created with Hovis goodness at the heart of each. We deliver around 1.3 million loaves, every day of the week throughout the UK and Ireland, where we also make Mothers Pride and Ormo products.We are 2,800 people working within 8 bakeries, 1 flour mill, and 2 regional distribution centres across the UK. We are a values-led business and expect our colleagues to live, breathe, and embed Quality, Accountability, and Trust into their ways of working.The RoleTo provide frontline security for the Hovis Nottingham site, the ideal candidate will be diligent in the continuous monitoring of the security status of the site, as well as, but not limited to:-
  • Actively patrolling and securing the site and grounds
  • Proactive communication and support with on-site management and key stakeholder
  • Manning the Security / Reception area
  • Respond to alarms and emergencies
  • Atten First Aid Calls
  • Data input and incident report record
  • Monitoring and analysing CCTV camera footage
  • Following procedures for various initiatives including fire prevention, the site Fire Evacuation Plan and traffic control
  • Escorting visitors around the premises
  • Ensuring compliance with government regulations (including managing contractors on site)
The successful candidate will have:-
  • Experience in an active security role
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels – verbally and written
  • Can work effectively on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Can solve problems and make decisions
  • A skilful negotiator who can resolve issues
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • A positive attitude to dealing with people and taking on challenges

Desirable
  • 1st Aid Trained (not essential as training can be given)
