Production Shift Manager| BangorVickerstock are working in partnership with a leading manufacturing firm to recruit a Production Shift Manager for their long-established business. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to join a high-performing business offering long-term career development opportunities.What we have to offer:
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Shifts: Days & Evening (rotating), 39hrs per week
  • Days: Monday to Thursday, 6am - 2pm and Friday 6am - 1pm
  • Evenings: Monday to Thursday, 2pm - 10:30pm and Friday 1pm - 6pm
Your day to day:
Reporting directly to senior management, the successful Production Shift Manager will be responsible for overseeing all production activity during your shift, driving efficiency and leading a motivated team to meet production targets.
  • Take ownership of day-to-day shift operations, ensuring safety, quality, and output targets are achieved
  • Provide strong leadership to production teams, promoting a positive working environment and continuous improvement
  • Support and develop staff through coaching and mentoring
  • Coordinate with planning and warehouse teams to ensure smooth workflow and stock control
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and liaise with maintenance when required
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external standards
  • Monitor and report on key KPIs and production performance
What you will need to succeed:
Essential:
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Recognised Management/Leadership qualification
  • Strong mechanical understanding with hands-on troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage teams and production schedules under pressure
  • Proactive mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
  • Experience working to BRC standards (ideally within the packaging sector)
  • Exposure to ISO management systems
  • NEBOSH certification or strong H&S awareness
  • Technical qualification (mechanical or electrical background)
