– Skill Enhancement: Refine your expertise in adoption services, benefitting from specialized training and the chance to contribute to transformative adoption processes.What you will do:– Assess prospective adopters, guiding them from the initial contact through the comprehensive assessment stages to panel presentations.
– Match adopters with children, offering consistent support from placement through to the granting of Adoption Orders, ensuring seamless transitions.
– Provide crucial post-placement support, including therapeutic guidance accessed via the Adoption Support Fund, and engage in multi-agency meetings to coordinate services and support.
– Prepare detailed court reports for both non-agency and agency adoptions and offer birth-records counselling for adopted adults seeking connection to their history.
– Lead training and preparation sessions for adopters, covering crucial areas such as life-story work, equipping them with the skills needed for a successful adoption journey.
– Participate actively in duty rotas, including Out-of-Hours support, and play a significant role in the ongoing development of the team, ensuring compliance with national adoption standards and regulations.Southend-on-Sea offers a wonderful balance of coastal charm and urban convenience.
