For everyone, everywhere.More about .Job DescriptionWe’re looking for a Senior Compliance Manager to help scale our investment product and support our Finance and Treasury teams in understanding and complying with applicable prudential regulatory requirements.Based in London, you will work with a growing team of multidisciplinary specialists (Risk, Product, Treasury, Finance, Marketing) across the globe. You’ll help manage and strengthen the team’s approach to managing the regulatory risks, their governance and oversight.In the short term this role will provide maternity cover for an existing Snr. Compliance Manager. When they return from maternity leave they will lead compliance with our conduct regulatory requirements for both our investments and payment businesses in the UK and this role will focus on prudential and investment regulatory requirements.Your mission:Be the SME for prudential and investment regulatory advisory and policy for our UK investments business. Including IFPR, MIFIDPRU, SYSC 19G and CASS.Handle escalations from first line teams in relation to the investment product and prudential management.Assess upcoming changes to prudential and investments regulations and guidelines and work with first line teams to conduct impact assessments and develop implementation plans, where required.Support internal and external audit responses relating to CASS and prudential regulations.Work closely with the wider regulatory team to manage regulatory engagement and internal and external reporting.Work with the second line monitoring and testing team to ensure effective oversight and assurance arrangements are in place to monitor and test compliance with applicable prudential and investment regulatory requirements.Provide regulatory training and self-help materials to assist the investment business comply with regulatory obligations and policies.Advise on marketing campaigns relating to our investment product.For the maternity cover period only, support the business with compliance with conduct rules and requirements relating to investment firms.This role will give you the opportunity to:Play an instrumental role in helping our team understand and comply with applicable prudential and investment regulations.Develop an in-depth knowledge of Wise’s growing business and get to know many teams across the company.Implement innovative and creative compliance solutions with a technology and customer focused approach.A bit about you:Our ideal candidate will have a background in regulatory compliance, great communication and organisational skills, tons of motivation and positivity. More specifically, we’re looking for someone who can demonstrate they have these skills and attributes:Knowledge - You have a strong knowledge of prudential and investment regulations and applicable guidelines, standards and policies, including MiFIDPRU, IFPR and CASS. A knowledge of additional regulatory requirements relating to operational resilience, wind down planning, payments or conduct rules would be beneficial.Experience - you have at least 4 years of experience in providing regulatory advice, policy drafting and/or risk management.You get the job done. You have a sense of urgency and an ability to work well under pressure, prioritising, taking responsibility and working to tight deadlines.Problem solving. You are a problem-solver. You get a kick out of finding innovative solutions and collaborating with different teams to deliver a mission.Strong written and oral communication skills. You’re a strong relationship builder and considerate communicator across all levels of the business. You have the ability to influence others and empower teams to strengthen their compliance processes to mitigate risks.Resilience. You recover from difficulties quickly.
