- To fabricate and assemble audio electronic components such as connectors, cables and other electronic products.
- To maintain, test and repair items passing through the electronics department, following agreed procedures.
- To participate in the process of site preparation during audio installations and to carry out service and maintenance on existing installations.
- To maintain and promote safe working practices within the department, including the correct operation of tools and equipment.
- To assist with stock management, monitoring stock levels and working with managers to re-order where necessary.
- To ensure the Electronics working areas are maintained in a clean, organized and tidy condition.
- To identify improvements to processes and procedures through continuous improvement and close liaison with managers and identify ways to improve cost effectiveness, and where appropriate, generate income.
- You will be expected to manage your own workload effectively, ensuring all activities are managed to conclusion and any outstanding work identified and reported to managers.
- The role may be required to assist, or cover for, other roles within the operation for which full training / support will be given.
- Any other reasonable ad-hoc requests as required by your manager.
- You will have 1 years of experience in a similar role
- You will be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent)
- Competent in the use of tools related to the job, such as soldering irons
- Keen interest in audio electronics
- Willingness and ability to learn quickly
- Competent with the use of computers and ability to use databases.
- Initiative and the ability to work unsupervised, whilst recognizing when to ask questions.
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure – the role is pivotal to the smooth running of the department and the effective handling of both internal and external customers
