- Responsible for underwriting proposals within an approved authority limit per customer / individual application.
- Make commercially sound decisions within the time standards agreed with Retailers and Partners.
- Accept or decline credit applications including negotiation of terms.
- Evaluate applications to highlight potential fraud and money laundering cases.
- Discuss proposals with Retailers, Partners and Internal Sales at all levels effectively.
- Ideally underwriting experience gained within the financial services sector but its not essential different backgrounds considered
- This role will involve working a shift pattern of 1 weekend every three
- Ability to analytically assess, interpret and evaluate data quickly and accurately.
- Deliver in a time pressured environment and handle multiple high priority tasks.
- Build business relationships with strong interpersonal skills.
- Act with integrity and embrace the principle of treating our customers fairly
