Start Date: September 2025Teaching Personnel is recruiting Education Support Workers for a comprehensive secondary school in Sunderland known for academic success and its commitment to honesty, respect, compassion, and integrity.This is a fantastic opportunity for psychology graduates, childcare specialists, or those looking to build a career in education while making a real difference to young people’s lives.Key Responsibilities
- Support students’ learning, emotional wellbeing, and personal development
- Assist with tailored strategies, learning plans, and behaviour support
- Help foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Work with teachers and the SENCO to provide individual and small-group support
- Monitor progress and share feedback with staff and families
- Degree in Psychology, Childcare, Early Years, or a related subject
- Passion for working with young people and supporting their growth
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with children through placements, volunteering, or similar settings (desirable)
- Adaptable, proactive, and committed to safeguarding (DBS required)
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
