Gap Personnel who are operating as an employment business are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Process Leader in Aintree, Liverpool.This is a permanent position.Salary:
  • Up to £35K per annum depending on level of experience
Hours of work:
  • 4 on 4 off
  • 2 days 2 nights
Role Snapshot:The objective of this role is to ensure manufacturing processes are operated in the safest manner achieving all key measures required for the efficient running of the shift.Reporting to the Manufacturing Front Line Manager (FLM), the job holder will also be responsible for driving and implementing improvements encompassing all key performance measures, and leading change through the development of individuals and the shift team as a whole.Standard of Performance:
  • Lead the site safety agenda in conjunction with the relevant FLM.
  • Ensure a low risk working culture is maintained and continually improved through the use of risk assessments, SSOWs, SOPs and behavioural leadership techniques.
  • Ensure plant optimisation, throughput, and quality is maintained and order fill requirements are met.
  • Correct and/or coordinate resource to address any deviation from optimum performance parameters, inclusive of customer service.
  • Accurately report on the shift’s performance, making recommendations for improvement where necessary.
  • Ensure labor efficiency is optimized at all times, as well as proactively managing the agency requirement.
  • Contribute to and drive Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, ensuring principles are understood and applied.
  • Deputise for the relevant FLM as and when required.
  • Network with other colleagues on site as well as within the Manufacturing team in order to share good practice and resolve issues.
  • Take an active role in supporting both individual and team development as well as taking ownership for self-development by seeking opportunities to improve personal performance.
Functional Skills:
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Proven experience within a similar environment, preferably within food manufacturing.
  • Computer literate with excellent communication skills (both orally and written) and the ability to manage the expectations of internal stakeholders.
  • An analytical approach to problem solving; evidence of delivering process improvements across a team.
  • The ability to develop and train team members.

  • The aptitude to work on own initiative and identify and solve problems.
  • Strong organizational skills: a keen eye for detail, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
