- Manage end-to-end recruitment across all levels from job advert to onboarding ensuring a high-quality candidate and manager experience.
- Lead the full attraction, selection, and onboarding lifecycle with a view to succession planning and long-term talent development.
- Build strong partnerships with hiring managers to align recruitment with business needs.
- Maintain job descriptions, candidate tracking systems, and external job board relationships.
- Own all HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle: starters, leavers, probation, contract changes, etc.
- Draft and issue accurate HR documentation including offer letters, contracts, and policy updates.
- Maintain compliant and up-to-date employee records in line with GDPR and employment law.
- Support ER casework (e.g. disciplinaries, grievances) by preparing documentation and attending meetings.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline admin and improve HR efficiency.
- Contribute to ongoing review and maintenance of HR policies and the employee handbook.
- Lead the training cycle and induction journey, ensuring a positive and engaging new starter experience.
- Design and deliver internal training (e.g. systems, product, or sales) and evaluate success through clear KPIs.
- Coordinate engagement, wellbeing, and communication initiatives.
- Help plan internal events, recognition initiatives, and employee surveys to support a thriving culture.
- Support the mapping of talent across the organisation and collaborate on succession planning processes.
- Contribute to building a full-cycle approach to attraction, retention, and colleague development.
- Help identify high-potential team members and support their development plans.
- Maintain HR systems (e.g. HRIS, ATS) with a high level of accuracy.
- Generate people analytics and insights, including data on turnover, absence, and diversity.
- Support payroll and benefits processes where required.
- CIPD Level 3/5 qualified (or currently working towards) in People Practice or an equivalent HR discipline.
- Experience in a generalist HR, recruitment, or people operations role.
- Strong experience managing end-to-end recruitment, including succession planning and onboarding.
- Knowledge of core HR practices and employment law (e.g. right to work, absence/holiday calculations).
- Experience supporting employee relations processes (disciplinaries, grievances, capability issues).
- Familiarity with payroll, benefits, or time and attendance systems.
- A proactive self-starter who thrives in a multi-site, fast-paced, and customer-facing environment.
- Ideally based in Yorkshire to be central to sites that are across Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool and Newcastle.
- Travel expected to all sites in order to meet business needs as required.
