An established organisation in the Aerospace and Defence sector is looking for an experienced Bid Estimating Manager to join its commercial team based in Glasgow. In this high-impact role, you will lead the financial modelling, costing, and pricing of complex bids - typically valued over £100M.Key Responsibilities:
- Create and present detailed estimating, costing, and pricing information for major bids and proposals.
- Develop and communicate financial data for internal reviews and approvals.
- Model estimated costs, funding, overheads, cash flow, profitability, and margin.
- Conduct cost analysis to support strategic decisions and advise senior stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally with bid, commercial, and delivery teams to ensure alignment of financial strategies.
- Experience working in fast-paced, large-scale bidding environments.
- Proven expertise in pricing high-value bids (£100M+).
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present under pressure.
- Experience in the Aerospace and Defence industry.
- In-depth knowledge of UK MOD procurement and cost assurance processes.
- Familiarity with Single Source Pricing Regulations (SSPR) and international customer negotiations.
- Proficiency with estimating and project tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, ProPricer, PRICE TruePlanning, and Primavera.
- Background in risk and opportunity analysis and modelling.
