Job Description:Location: Drax Power StationHours: Full Time, 39 hours per weekSalary: CompetitiveRole OverviewReporting to the Sewell Drax Site Manager, the Plumber will be responsible for the maintenance of the water systems at the Selby Drax Site. The Plumber will be multi-skilled and keen to support the wider team in the general maintenance of and repair of the building.To learn more about Sewell Group and Construction, please follow the link below:Key Responsibilities
  • Reactive and planned maintenance on hot and cold water systems
  • Responding to all allocated job requests for customers at Drax
  • Multi skilling is an essential requirement to assist in the general maintenance and repairs to building fabric and associated equipment as necessary
  • Liaise with and manage external contractors as an when appropriate to meet the needs of the business
  • Identification and reporting/repairing of defects and maintenance requirements on site
  • Health & safety duties; ensuring that any property worked in or attended is operated in a safe and legally compliant manner at all times

  • City & Guilds Plumbing qualification (including water regulations)
  • Have a positive and professional attitude
  • Have a proactive attitude towards maintaining buildings at a world class quality level
  • Hold excellent communications skills and the ability to liaise with clients & subcontractors
  • Possess good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a variety of tasks
  • Possess a positive approach to learning, development and progression
  • Have a trade background or good practical core skills together with previous maintenance experience
  • Have a flexible outlook towards hours worked (some out of hours working may be required)
  • Have working knowledge of current Health and Safety practice
  • Hold a full driving license, valid in the UK
Desirable:
  • First Aid trained
  • Legionella training
  • Confined space trained
  • WIAPS Approved Plumber
  • Unvented hot water system qualification
