- Experience of working in an administrative role
- Previous administrative experience working with in the NHS or medical environment
- Good time management/organisational skills
- Awareness of Trust guidelines regarding complaints, confidentiality etc.
- Good IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office
- Ability to use own initiative and prioritise workload using organisational skills
- Awareness of Trust guidelines regarding patient confidentiality, complaints, etc.
- Awareness of relevant NHS/departmental targets for example 18 week RTT and cancer
- Ability to deal with sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy
- Polite, conscientious and courteous
- Able to recognise and escalate issues out of scope of role
- Ability to remain calm when working under pressure
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with patients, relatives, Trust staff and other departments.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team - self motivated
