To ensure business continuity, we undertake several projects with our clients, which typically involves implementing our ATCOM software - operated on the Oracle platform - using mainstream hardware platforms.We have an exciting opportunity for a SQL Database Administrator to join our Windows and Networking team.We are looking for candidates who are inspired to challenge the norm and help us evolve the customer journey.What we are looking for:We are in search of a proficient SQL Database Administrator with a robust background in Windows server administration. This role demands a high level of expertise in overseeing Windows-based systems, coupled with extensive knowledge of SQL databases. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of both our Windows servers and SQL databases.Responsibilities as our SQL Database Administrator:
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining SQL Server instances.
  • Identifying and resolving performance issues, bottlenecks, and optimizing queries.
  • Providing technical support to developers and end-users for database-related matters.
  • Conducting regular security audits to ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Collaborating with other IT teams and stakeholders to guarantee the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server operating systems.
To thrive in this role, successful candidates must showcase competence and experience in the following:
  • Proven experience as a Windows System Administrator and SQL Database Administrator.
  • Managing SQL server versions from 2016 to 2022.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2012-2022 Operating systems.
  • Implementing High Availability and Disaster Recovery options for SQL Server.
  • Hands-on experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • A solid understanding of database security and data protection.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competent in T-SQL.
  • Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell preferred).
  • Knowledge of infrastructure components (compute, storage, networks) is a plus.
