Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-timeAre you a creative and inspiring Art Teacher passionate about encouraging students to explore their imagination and develop artistic skills?GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Art Teacher to join schools in the Rotherham (S61) area. This role offers the opportunity to deliver engaging lessons, nurture creativity, and support pupils in building confidence and expression through a variety of artistic mediums.Responsibilities as an Art Teacher:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver exciting Art lessons across Key Stages.
  • Inspire pupils to explore creativity and develop their skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, and other media.
  • Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages artistic expression and self-confidence.
  • Monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to raising attainment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour, organisation, and safeguarding.
Requirements for Art Teacher:
  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Art and Design is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities.
  • A genuine passion for inspiring creativity in young people.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
