Multi Trades Recruitment is looking for an experienced HSE INSPECTOR for a well-established company in SHOTTON, DEESIDE.This is an exciting opportunity to work on a 4-6 year project at Shotton Paper Mill.Work for one of the leading MEP contracting companies, with the capacity to deliver a wide scope of services to a broad range of customers around the world.About You:
  • Undergraduate Degree with NEBOSH or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience on mechanical & electrical commercial or industrial projects,
  • Proven experience with all current Health and Safety legislation
  • Experience of safety management systems and the interpretation of bodies of evidence (e.g., safety case evidence and risk mitigation)
  • Stakeholder management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Holding valid first aid certificate will be preferable
  • A valid CSCS card is required
About the Role:
  • Monday-Friday - 45 hours per week (potential for weekend work)
  • Rate: £35,000-£45,000 per annum.
  • Follow-up any site incidents at work or occupational diseases upon occurrence.
  • Assist site management with the initial investigation of all site incidents and prepare suitable investigation reports using standard company forms.
  • Prepare remedial reports as a result of any incidents in the site.
  • Identify and analyze hazards and contribute to the identification and evaluation of risk reduction measures, ensuring that these are adequately documented and managed.
  • Provide trainings to all employees based on the risk analysis made, and to keep records.
  • Prepare Health and Safety audit reports and submit it to HSE Manager.
  • Work closely with managers to complete corrective actions, carry out improvements and audit results.
  • Involve and monitor daily task briefings.
  • Monitor the compliance to site specific work permits.
  • Organize the new employees’ HSE inductions.
  • Responsible for the establishment of Emergency Plan for construction, coordinate with employers (main contractor) and submit to HSE Manager. If in case the site (main contractor) has no Emergency Plan, he is responsible for creating his own
  • Assess the situation when working with doctors for work-related accidents and occupational diseases.
  • Work closely with colleagues at all levels to ensure compliance with relevant UK legislation, regulations, and standards.
