Make sure clinics are booked onto the computer2. Ensure clinics are filled to maximise capacity and keep waiting times as lowas possible3. Review and accept or decline eReferral patients based on suitability for theGPwSI Eye Clinic and make appropriate appointments4. Add the patient appointment to the eReferral system5. Add new and follow-up appointments on EMIS appointment system6. Keep diary of patients identified by the GP as needing a follow-up so thatthis can be booked at the right time7. Send letters/ telephone /email/text to patients to arrange and confirm theirappointmentConsultations8. Register patients who have not previously been seen in the clinic on EMIS9. Prepare notes in readiness for clinics, either paper or computer10. Instill eye drops as required11. Perform visual acuities, visual fields and optical coherence tomography(OCT) examinations12. Add consultation information to EMIS13. Send copies of visual fields to GPsGeneral14.
