Pineapple Contracts opened their doors for the first time in 1975. With a new direction, a new name was required and we became simply ‘Pineapple’.Pineapple, now a global company with headquarters in Kent (UK), have offices in France, Germany and the USA, still runs by its original ethos.JOB TITLE: Driver / Furniture AssemblerREPORTS TO: Transport SupervisorLOCATION: Aylesford, UKWORKING HOURS: Core hours - 7.00am – 4.30pm, with overnights - which will include overtime payPURPOSE OF THE ROLEWe pride ourselves on our customer service and we are looking for individuals who will be able to offer a “white glove” service to our customers. It is a physical role that will involve heavy lifting of our furniture and other products. As part of a small team, we expect everyone to be respectful of responsibility and commitment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES· Providing white glove delivery and installation of our products and furniture· Loading and unloading of vehicles· Heavy lifting required· To carry out daily tasks as set out by the Transport & Logistics Manager· Communication with other departments as required· Working as part of a team and doing other ad-hoc jobs as needed· Ensuring your vehicle is kept maintained and any faults or defects are reported immediately upon inspection· Ensuring that all health and safety procedures are followedRequirements· Full clean driving licence· Experienced at driving large Luton style vehicles· Involves heavy lifting so needs to be physically fit, able to lift and manoeuvre heavy loads· Some wood work, carpentry or furniture assembly experience would be ideal but not essential· Superb customer service skills with a polite, professional and helpful manner· Strong team player· Very practicalPERSON SPECIFICATION· Happy to work away overnight as required· Willing to work overtime as required· Enthusiastic, flexible approach with can-do attitude· Reliable and punctual – a real team-player· Accurate and careful· Good communication skills· Takes responsibility and ensures the job gets done· Self-motivated and organised with excellent attention to detail and can-do attitude· Embodies our company people values:o Teamworko Committedo Ownershipo Positiveo ResponsiveBenefits
