Start Date: September 2025A supportive primary school in Wakefield is seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to provide maternity cover in their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting from September 2025.This is a full-time, term-time role working closely with the class teacher to support early development, learning, and wellbeing at a crucial stage in each child’s education.Key responsibilities:Provide classroom support across EYFS, including 1:1 and small group interventionsPromote communication, language, and personal development through structured and play-based learningAssist with observation, record keeping, and preparation of learning resourcesSupport routines including phonics, snack time, and outdoor playFoster a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child feels safe and supportedWe’re looking for someone who:Holds a Level 3 TA or Early Years qualification (or equivalent)Has experience working within an EYFS settingUnderstands the EYFS framework and principles of child-led learningIs calm, positive, and confident supporting children with varying needsCommunicates effectively with children, staff, and parentsWhy work with Protocol Education:Weekly pay through PAYE – no umbrella companiesFREE access to our CPD Academy, including Early Years courses
