Diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify faults efficiently.
MOT Preparation: Prepare vehicles for MOT tests, ensuring all necessary repairs and adjustments are made.
Emergency Repairs: Provide on-road assistance for breakdowns and emergency repairs as needed.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work conducted, including completing job cards and service sheets.
Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage workshop inventory, ensuring the availability of necessary parts and tools.Qualifications and Experience:Technical Certification: NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience as an HGV Technician, with a proven track record of working on a diverse range of HGVs.
Licenses: A valid Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) driving license is preferred.
Technical Proficiency: Strong diagnostic skills and familiarity with modern diagnostic equipment.
Attention to Detail: Ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
