WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least 3 days per week, or 60% of your time, in the office.About this opportunityWe’re seeking a Transactional Structuring Director within the Transaction Banking Solutions (TBS). You'll work closely with the TBS Corporate and Institutional Sales teams and the Specialist Client Solutions team to manage transaction structuring and execution across the full transaction banking product suite including Core Trade, Traditional Trade, Commodity Trade Finance, ECA, Commercial Cards, Asset and Invoice Finance, Merchant Services and other core Transaction Banking Products.Your accountabilities will include:
  • Assisting in the delivery of P&L targets, alongside other members of the Transaction Banking Solutions team with responsibility for growing and managing a portfolio of existing clients.
  • Coordinate successful structuring and execution of transactions. Fully manage the process following origination through client/partner discussions, credit engagement, transaction structuring, legal negotiations and transaction completion.
  • Lead the Execution of all the Transaction Banking Solutions products across trade and payments
  • Act as a trusted advisor for clients and prospects on how they can implement Transaction Banking Solutions and the impact of such solutions.
  • Coordinate oversight of all post origination activities ensuring regular feedback and engagement with TBS Corporate and Institutional sales and coverage teams
  • Maintain strong internal relationships (relationship team, credit, delivery, product partners).
  • Cross-sell other TBS products, introducing the appropriate counterparty, as and when the opportunity arises.
  • Leverage external profile with professional advisors (lawyers, debt advisors and diligence providers).
  • Performance management and development of Associate Director and Associate colleagues.
  • Ensuring adherence to group policy and regulatory requirements to protect the customers and the Group, whilst identifying, monitoring and mitigating commercial risks.

  • Experience across the trade and capital product spectrum with the ability to structure and advise across open account, traditional trade, structured trade, asset finance, ECA and Invoice Finance.
  • Ability to lead deals including influencing and collaborating internally and externally to drive success of deal execution
  • Experience in driving quality Credit submissions, process management and legal negotiations including completions.
