- NVQ level 2/ 3 in Health & Social Care or Child Development, Youth work or Early Years
- 2 years' work experience preferably in a Residential setting working with young people with learning disabilities and / or challenging behaviours
- Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting / compliance checks including an Enhanced Access NI check due to the nature of this work
- Immunisation records inclusive of MMR must be provided in order to complete an Occupational Health assessment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in fast environment showing patience, resilience, empathy and a willingness to develop and support
- Daily support to key workers and management teams assisting in the care and development of children with complex behavioural needs and/or learning difficulties

- Create a safe and nurturing environment for young people within your care
- Respond calmly and effectively to the demands of a young person whilst supporting and encouraging development
- Updating care plans and reports per shift ensuring data integrity and accuracy of information
- Contributing and participating to reviews, staff meetings, in-service training, supervision and individual programmes of care in respect to each young person
